The Kings Arms
Howells Rd, Stratton, Bude, EX23 9BX, 01288 352396

The Kings Arms, Stratton is a tradtional 17th century coaching inn that serves great ‘pub grub’.  The portions are good and the atmosphere is friendly, as are the attentive staff. There are wood burners to keep you and your pooch toasty (or to help you dry out) in winter and there’s a large car-park 50 yards away. Nice dogs on leads get a treat (with owner’s permission) and a bowl of water.

The Preston Gate Inn
Poughhil Road, Poughill, EX23 9ET, 01288 354017

The Preston Gate Inn is warm and cosy serving locally sourced wholesome food, the menu is seasonal and changes often. Real Ale is served and Friday nights see live music from Cornish acts, Friday is also fish night and Monday is steak night. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly and the food is delicious.

Crooklets Inn
Crooklets, Bude, EX23 8NF, 01288 352335

The Crooklets Inn, a stone’s throw from Crooklets Beach, Bude is a busy seaside ale house and restaurant serving local craft beers and a gastro foodie favourite. Food is homemade, seasonal and locally sourced food. We are renowned for our local craft beers and gastro food. The terrace has lovely views of the Downs.

The Bank at Bude
Pethericks Mill, Bude, EX23 8TF, 01288 352070

Despite it’s out-of-town location, The Bank is ideally situated for walks along the Bude Canal and has views over the river Neet. It serves excellent and authentic tapas and has the usual bar grill offering a discount on takeaways.  Popular with locals and visitors alike, it has a relaxed friendly atmosphere and a welcoming attitude to our four-legged friends.

Rosie’s Kitchen Café
Crooklets, Bude, EX23 8NE, 01288 354238

Not the most beautiful of buildings, but Rosie’s Kitchen café is a deservedly popular family friendly and dog friendly eatery located right next to Crooklets beach, and offers good quality food at sensible prices.  Their fish and chips are particularly popular, along with amazing milkshakes and hot chocolates, and it’s always a good sign when the locals frequent it just as much as visitors.  With parking outside and polite staff, you and your family (and your pooch) are in for a beach-side treat in this clean and tidy retreat.
