Open Studios Cornwall 2018

Bude & Stratton Folk Festival

Bude and Stratton Folk Festival is a friendly mix of folk events held on the late May Bank Holiday weekend 25-28 May 2018. It features music, song, dance, and storytelling. There are concerts, sing-arounds, sessions, a folk club, a barn dance, open-mics, fringe events, storytelling, a folk service and workshops. The guest list includes Against the Grain, Capella, Didjan, Gadarene, Georgia Lewis Trio, Hannah Cumming, Jackie Oates & Tristan Seume, Jimmy Aldridge & Sid Goldsmith, Kitty Macfarlane, Reg Meuross, Sam Kelly Trio, and Thorn and Roses Season tickets are £55, students half price, children are free.

Kindred Spirits Festival is a two day music event with camping located in North Petherwin near Launceston. Two live music stages boasting diverse festival acts and also a dedicated dance tent. There are many shops and stalls, a Licensed bar, a variety of food vendors, and a holistic healing area. We offer a drop in session for children of primary school age. It is a session aimed specifically at children so it is not structured. For just £10, they can choose from a range of items and paint. No need to book, just drop in! Most sessions run 10am -12 noon. Drop in sessions last between 20 and 45 minutes. We give your children a brief two minutes introduction. They have a choice of breakfast plate, cereal bowl, mug, heart, trinket box, tile. £10 per child per item

Starting at 2.00 pm there will be music and entertainment all afternoon and taster sessions in the water from Bude’s Water Polo team, Bude SLSC. The Eden Project’s ‘The Big Lunch’ is a community event which has grown ten-fold and each year gets bigger and better. Local volunteers and businesses give their time and food totally free of charge.
