Showcasing Padstow at its best, the festival is one of the UK’s largest, bringing together chefs, local food producers and crafts-folk to celebrate Christmas in a captivating waterside setting. Attracting over 40,000 visitors, each year sees the festival increase in popularity.

Santa By Steam,
Bodmin Railway
Until 24 Dec

Join Santa aboard his steam hauled train for a magical one-hour journey. Whilst on board you will be invited by the elves visit Santa in his festive grotto, where all children will receive a special present! There is also plenty of time for a photograph too so that you can treasure the memory! There are mince pies and seasonal drink for adults to enjoy. Bodmin Railway ‘Santa by Steam’ will help you to get into the Christmas spirit with Carols to enjoy on the platform by Liskeard Band. It costs £14.50  per person.



Christmas at the Milky Way
The Milky Way Adventure Park, nr Bideford
9th,10th, 16th, 17th, 18th, 19th, 20th, 21st, 22nd & 23rd of December

Father Christmas and his elves will be visiting in the magical grotto. Children will also receive a free gift included in the standard cost to enter the park and can have a go at gingerbread decorating!  For crafty children and adults, there’s also the opportunity to make your own personalised baubles and Christmas cards for a small additional charge.



Festival of Nativity Cribs & Christmas Trees
St. Mary Magdalene Church, Launceston. PL15 8AU

Teas, coffees and cakes will be served in the Choir Vestry. Guest organists will be playing at various times throughout the festival. Free admission but donations to St. Mary’s Church.



The Barrel Charity Christmas Run, Stride or Ride

This is a 7 mile – 7 Pubs Charity community event in support of the RNLI he Air Ambulance Service and Bude Sea-pool. Meet at The Barrel in Lansdown Road at 1pm. Christmas fancy dress optional but definitely encouraged.

The Castle has been hosting a Christmas Fair since 2009. From stocking fillers to perfect presents, seasonal shopping from stalls offering local arts, crafts, food and produce. Café Limelight will be open throughout the day and we will be running a ‘pop-up café’ selling mulled wine and minced pies in the marquee.



Christmas Bingo in aid of Children’s Hospice South West

Kilkhampton Friends Group are holding a Xmas Bingo on Monday 11th December 2017 at The Grenville Rooms, Kilkhampton. Doors open at 6pm. Eyes down at 8pm. Cash prizes and grand raffle.
A talk will be given by the community fundraiser Kirsty Newton from Little Bridge House and during a short break a warm mince pie and a drink will be available for 5op. All proceeds go to CHSW

Over 20 tables selling locally made crafts especially for Christmas.  There will also be hot chestnuts, old fashioned sweet cart, brass band playing Christmas tunes, Workshop for the kids, Santa’s grotto, both £2 per child.  Hog roast, face painters, clowns, magic, mulled wine and mince pies plus much more fun and games for the whole family.  The bar will be open.  From 7pm Sporty Fox will be entertaining the kids with fun and games, prize bingo, followed by adults cash bingo .  The cabaret starts from 9pm ending the evening with a disco.  This huge event is free entry.
