Hendra cottage is lovely, the owner has equipped the cottage so well with everything you could possible need, it is spotlessly clean, there were flowers in all rooms, wine, scones, cream, jam, milk, tea, coffee, dog treats, anti bac, wipes, gloves. The cottage has comfy beds, dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer, woodburning stove, logs, etc etc. It is dog friendly and our whippets absolutly loved it and the grounds, plenty of outside space for them to run around in.

We stayed in Hendra, the largest of the properties. Plenty of room and showers for us all. Such a well designed and clean house. The showers were amazing and the beds super comfy. Very secure grounds, for us to walk our puppy and plenty of room to play a family football and badminton tournament! Our youngest was captivated with the different type of birds, that visited. Everything you need was made available to us. David was the perfect host. Thank you so much, and we hope to visit again.
A wonderful holiday and celebration of my daughters 13th birthday. David and Rachel went above and beyond to make her day special. The house is amazing with everything you could possibly need so no need to pack the kitchen sink it's all there. Very high standards of cleanliness and the rooms are well set out. My family and I are all now massive fans of not only Devon and Cornwall but also of Hendra and we will definitely be back next year for sure. A massive thank you to David and his team for making our staycation the best ever.
I have to say that these cottages really did exceed our expectations. The cottages themselves are spacious, clean, tidy and in a beautiful location overlooking the Cornwall countryside. The grounds that all cottages have access to, provide everything that you could need, with plenty of room for all the family. The gardens are so well maintained that it is clear that the owners take great pride in all aspects of the grounds appearance. David the owner on site was a massive help for us and ensured that we had everything we could possibly need. Thank you again and would definitely recommend a stay here if you are looking for the perfect peaceful retreat.
An absolutely fantastic cottage set in stunning surroundings. Everything you could want was provided including a lovely welcome pack. It was lovely to meet and chat with the owner David. So glad to have been able to have had a relaxing stay especially as we enter another lockdown. First class accommodation and a wonderful host.
Property and the grounds surrounding are a welcome retreat into the countryside, yet near to many places a visitor will want to experience. The owner was both welcoming in person and with the gift in the room, and went above and beyond, even reuniting my son with his Teddy which got left behind when we left. We cannot rate the property or the owner any higher than we have, but safe to say they were both fantastic
A real home from home with great location to enjoy all that the Cornish coasts can offer even during as changeable October. David provides comfortable and friendly cottages with as lovely boutique feel to them. Gardens and green areas enjoyed by our dog immensely The accommodation had everything that you can imagine and a lot that you forget you need. Thankyou for a lovely time. We enjoyed it so much that we rebooked for the following week there and then!
We had a really lovely week in Treneglos - our two small children loved the big garden and trampoline and the various games and activities in the utility room. The cottage was clean and welcoming on arrival with a cream tea welcome pack and wine and milk in the fridge & beautiful cut flowers from the garden. It was just the right size for a family of 4 and close to plenty of great days out - we went to Bude and Dartmoor , up to the Milky Way Park, down to Boscastle and hired bicycles in Great Torrington on our last day to take the Tarka Trail to Instow. I would thoroughly recommend it as a family holiday.
A wonderful location and even better luxury cottage. We are absolutely delighted with Treneglos. The beds are great, the sofa's comfy and the Wi-Fi works well. We love the peace and tranquility of the cottage set in private grounds overlooking a valley. The bird table has been wonderful to see many different types including a Greater Spotted Woodpecker! We will be back again soon and its great we have been able to include our dog on the holiday.
This was a great place for us. The cottage was clearly very well cleaned beforehand and the owner had also left out for us hand gel, cleaning wipes, disinfectant spray etc. The scones with milk and clotted cream were a nice welcoming feature, along with a bottle of milk in the fridge. The location was lovely with great views out over the surrounding countryside, and the gardens were very spacious for children to play in. Overall, this was just what we needed.
It was just what we needed a relaxing break and not to far from Bude which was lovely, cottage was spotless and very comfortable, really great to have a welcome pack of cream tea and fresh milk and even a bottle of wine thank you. We took our two dogs and they enjoyed their welcome pack and the doggy towels where a great help for wet paws. we would loved to have stayed longer.
Spent a very enjoyable 5 nights here with our two dogs. Stunning place in lovely dog friendly grounds. Clean and tasteful. Superb welcome pack including dog treats. Friendly hosts and well thought out accommodation. It was refreshing to have no restrictions to were we could walk in the grounds with our dogs. Some lovely areas to visit, good walking and some good places to eat but be prepared to drive to these places. Recommended
The best dog friendly cottage we've ever stayed in. Large safe grounds for dogs to roam off lead, fab laundry room with huge choice of dvd, jigsaws ,books and games. We played croquet on the lawn much to dogs' delight. So many balls to chase! Quality kitchen kit with stylish decor throughout. Comfy beds with luxurious linen. Cream tea & wine in welcome pack . Genial owner has spared no expense on the properties.
We have found a true gem to holiday for many years to come. The cottage had a breathtaking view in the quiet tranquil countryside and the private terrace at the front gave us privacy if we needed it. Inside the cottage it was a true home from home with high quality furnishings, bed linen and attention to detail. The cottage was absolutely immaculate and a credit to the owner and his staff. There was a lot of very useful information available within the cottage. The grounds were well thought out and landscaped thoughtfully with benches and seating to enjoy the views. Amazing to find somewhere so wonderful that is dog friendly and I truly hope that everyone that stays in this 5 star accommodation treats it with the respect it deserves.
This property was one of the nicest we have stayed in, the listing does not do it justice. The interior of the property has been beautifully thought out and is finished to a high standard. The cottage was extremely clean and welcoming on arrival with fresh flowers in each room. The owner was friendly and very helpful. Would highly recommend this property.
The property is exactly as described if not better. It was immaculately clean. It had everything you would need for a lovely holiday. The bed was actually the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in, with crisp white sheets and a gorgeous soft duvet. Soft white towels. There was a TV with plenty of channels. The area around the property was immaculately kept and was completely safe for my little dog. The whole property was incredibly tastefully furnished. There was a very sweet gesture left for us on our arrival of wine, milk and cream tea. The owner was completely charming and informative. I would definitely be recommending this property to my family and friends. Didn't want to leave.
The cottages are decorated very tastefully which can only be expected as the owner is an interior designer and these cottages are an example of his work. There is a lovely welcome pack of wine scones jam clotted cream. The cottages were spotlessly clean and each room had a beautiful vase of fresh flowers. The kitchens are very well equipped with everything you could need even coffee machines. We all had a lovely time and will most definitely be returning. I would recommend these cottages to anyone who wishes to visit Cornwall and especially those who want a relaxing quiet beautiful location.
We stayed in Penhale cottage for a week and it was absolutely wonderful - just wish we could have stayed a bit longer! There were some beautiful fresh flowers left in each room and we even had wine and cream teas to help us settle in; this was a very thoughtful and welcome addition. The cottage was very well equipped and had everything we needed. The interior is beautifully decorated and well maintained, and the grounds are superb. We took our dog with us and he loved being able to run freely around the garden and It was lovely for us to sit and relax in such a tranquil location. We are already planning to return to this beautiful place.
